The Healthwise Knowledgebase contains comprehensive, current, evidence-based, and unbiased information to help consumers make decisions about their health. The Healthwise Knowledgebase helps consumers to work in partnership with their doctors by offering easy-to-find and easy-to-understand information about conditions, diseases, medical tests, medications, treatment options, and key decisions points. An independent clinical review board reviews information in the Healthwise Knowledge base to ensure medical accuracy and currency.

   The Healthwise Knowledgebase uses a novel decision-support system known as Decision Points which provides the framework and information that consumers and their doctors can use to make wise health decisions. Decision Points help consumers understand the facts, compare their options, and consider their values. Decision Points feature breakthrough innovation in ease of use, online interactivity, and decision quality. Healthwise developed the Decision Points using criteria from the International Patient Decision Aids Standards (IPDAS), which emphasize health care decisions aligned with personal preferences.

   Healthwise Knowledgebase "Actionset" helps users focus on managing chronic conditions. Actionset provides a set of more than 150 practical tools and in-depth information that help members take early action to minimize or prevent lifelong complications for conditions like asthma, diabetes, and osteoarthritis.
